AFA Town Hall Event Gathers Providers' Voices to Inform Areas for Systems-Level Improvements

The Afterschool For All Advisory Council and its many co-sponsors would like to thank the more than 150 OST providers who  participated in the May 10th AFA Town Hall at City College of San Francisco.

From the evaluation forms completed by participants, the Town Hall appears to have been a success, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. We met our three goals to:

·        Gather feedback from participants to be used by the AFA Advisory Council to plan its future work- more than 90% of respondents said they made a valuable contribution to the discussion on improving OST programming in SF
·        Familiarize and connect OST practitioners with the work of the Afterschool For All Advisory Council- Over two-thirds of respondents said they gained a new understanding of what AFA does and nearly 90% or respondents said they would access AFA tools from the AFA website
·        Provide practitioners the opportunity to share innovative program practices- over 90% of respondents said they felt they had a voice in the OST field in San Francisco
Thank you to all participants for sharing your innovations, ideas, and suggestions for improving OST in our city.
